Appointment misfire, saw internist

Went to see dermatologist, was told appointment was actually scheduled for following Monday. My hands were in a lot of pain, so I opted to have a different internist than my PCP take a look at them. He thought it was probably connected to herpes, told me not to take steroid or antifungal, but to take acyclovir (herpes suppressant) and coat with thin layer of good moisturizer.

[Hands felt noticeably better on Sunday 6/7 - not well, but not terrible. I think partly because I was at a conference and not doing anything friction/water based with them all day]
